In a major boost to the organizational and strategic machinery of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), long-serving party stalwart Comrade Adnan M. Kofi Adams has officially submitted his nomination papers to contest for a seat on the National Executive Committee (NEC).

Accompanied by key party supporters, media professionals, and grassroots organizers at the party’s national headquarters, Comrade Adnan handed over his completed nomination forms, detailed political resume, and requisite credentials to the National Elections Committee.

His entry into the national executive race is widely regarded by party insiders as a strategic effort to bridge the gap between national communication strategies and branch-level mobilization. Addressing journalists immediately after submitting his credentials, Comrade Adnan made a passionate case for a modernized, grassroots-first approach to party governance.

“It is with profound humility, unyielding loyalty, and a strong sense of revolutionary duty that I step forward to serve on the National Executive Committee,” Adnan M. Kofi Adams declared. “Having served from the branch level up, I understand the resilience of our grassroots and the transformative power of our party’s social democratic ideology. My mission is to build a robust, technologically responsive, and grassroots-centered NDC that bridges national strategic communications with branch-level mobilization.”

From Branch Executive to National Contender

Comrade Adnan M. Kofi Adams’ political journey within the NDC spans over 18 years of continuous, hands-on service across multiple tiers of the party apparatus. He began his frontline political work as a Branch Propaganda Secretary in 2007, transitioned to Branch Secretary in 2009, and later served as Constituency Deputy Communications Officer from 2014 to 2018. Between 2008 and 2017, he was a key voice on the NDC National Communications Team.

Beyond his party service, Adnan M. Kofi Adams is an established media proprietor, executive manager, and scholar of diplomacy and international law. Delegates view his background as a vital asset for defending the party’s image and driving policy-oriented political campaigns.

“Our campaign is anchored on four non-negotiable pillars designed to secure decisive electoral victory: grassroots empowerment, media dominance through proactive communications, institutional discipline, and data-backed policy research,” Adnan M. Kofi Adams explained. “We must preemptively counter opposition propaganda, protect the party’s brand, and ensure our branch officers are well-resourced with modern tools and political education.”

A Four-Point Operational Roadmap for the NEC

Detailing his strategic vision for the party’s decision-making body, Adnan M. Kofi Adams outlined key operational priorities:

● Grassroots Empowerment & Capacity Building: Directing resources to branch and constituency executive structures while establishing direct, open lines of communication between local officers and national leadership.

● Proactive Media Dominance: Utilizing digital media technologies, data-driven messaging, and public relations to project NDC policy achievements and counter opposition narratives effectively.

● Institutional Discipline & Unity: Enhancing internal dispute-resolution structures and strengthening unity across all auxiliary organs, including the Youth Wing, Women’s Wing, Zongo Caucus, and External Branches.

● Policy Research & Youth Engagement: Translating economic data and international relations frameworks into compelling policy proposals that resonate with young voters, working-class families, and civil society organizations.

Concluding his remarks to the media, Comrade Adnan M. Kofi Adams reiterated his allegiance to the party’s core ideology and urged unity across all delegate blocks.

“I pledge my uncompromising loyalty to the social democratic principles of the NDC,” he affirmed. “I call on all delegates, party leaders, and comrades nationwide and in our external branches to unite behind a vision centered on integrity, accessible leadership, and organizational excellence.”

With nominations officially filed, Adnan M. Kofi Adams is expected to begin a nationwide constituency tour to engage delegates and campaign stakeholders ahead of the upcoming national congress.
