The Mould family experienced a powerful demonstration of brotherhood and public support as dignitaries, close associates, and sympathizers assembled in Accra to bid farewell to the late David Gerald Mould.
The solemn gathering brought together prominent national leaders, led by Chief of Staff Dr. Julius Debrah, alongside former Attorney-General Betty Mould-Iddrisu and former GNPC Chief Executive Alex Mould, to celebrate the life of their departed brother.
Addressing the gathering, Chief of Staff Dr. Julius Debrah emphasized that shared grief reinforces common bonds and mutual support during times of bereavement.
“When a family goes through such a profound loss, it becomes the responsibility of all who care for them to lift them up,” Dr. Debrah noted. “We are here to walk this painful road alongside Alex, Betty, and the entire family, ensuring they know they are not alone.”
Expressing appreciation for the outpouring of sympathy, former GNPC Chief Executive Alex Mould highlighted the enduring impact of his brother’s life on those around him.
“David brought warmth, kindness, and steadiness to our lives, and his absence will be felt deeply every single day,” Alex Mould reflected. “The massive support from friends and well-wishers across the country has given our family immense strength during this dark period.”
Sharing her thoughts on the solemn occasion, former Minister for Education and Attorney-General Mrs. Betty Mould-Iddrisu noted how the presence of loved ones provides solace amidst loss.
“Saying goodbye to a sibling is never easy, but seeing so many people surround us with affection honors David’s memory in the most beautiful way,” Mrs. Mould-Iddrisu said. “We are truly grateful for every prayer and gesture of solidarity.”
The funeral rites concluded with intercessory prayers for the repose of the soul of the late David Gerald Mould and strength for the bereaved family.
