As the National Democratic Congress (NDC) prepares to elect new regional executives across the Central Region, seasoned communicator and former Regional Communications Officer, Mrs. Gabriella Tetteh, has formally declared her bid for the position of Regional Vice-Chairperson.

Running on a platform anchored in grassroots inclusion, conflict resolution, and structural communication, Mrs. Tetteh’s campaign promises to strengthen internal party cohesion and consolidate victory across all constituencies in the region ahead of upcoming national elections.

Communication as a Tool for Internal Cohesion

Reflecting on her tenure as the party’s primary media voice in the Central Region, Mrs. Tetteh emphasized that effective leadership requires balancing public advocacy with internal bridge-building.

“A strong organization needs more than leaders; it needs people who can bring others together,” stated Mrs. Gabriella Tetteh during a meeting with constituency delegates. “In every successful team, there must be someone who can listen to different opinions, communicate clearly, calm tensions, and build understanding so everyone moves in the same direction. Leadership is not only about speaking—it is fundamentally about listening and respecting the concerns of our grassroots.”

Mrs. Tetteh noted that her experience navigating media landscapes and political discourse equips her with the strategic foresight necessary to support the regional chairmanship and executive committee.

Grassroots Inclusion and Shared Responsibility

Addressing constituency executives and party activists, Mrs. Tetteh highlighted that the role of a Vice-Chairperson demands accessibility, proactive conflict resolution, and continuous engagement beyond election cycles.

“A Vice-Chairperson must be someone who can work seamlessly with others, support the broader leadership team, and remain accessible to the rank and file,” Mrs. Tetteh explained. “I am not presenting myself as someone above the people, but as someone ready to work directly alongside them. We are building a unified front where every member feels valued and heard.”

Delegates Rally Around Consensus-Building Agenda

Endorsements for Mrs. Tetteh’s campaign highlight her track record as a unifier and articulate defender of party values across radio, television, and community forums. Party stalwarts within the Central Region have welcomed her candidacy as a crucial step toward assembling an inclusive and operationally disciplined executive front.

“Gabriella Tetteh has proven her dedication over years of dedicated service as Regional Communications Officer,” noted a senior constituency executive from Cape Coast South. “Her transition to the vice-chairmanship brings seasoned judgment, proven communication strength, and genuine accessibility to our regional leadership structure.”

With campaign activities gathering momentum across all 23 constituencies in the Central Region, Mrs. Tetteh’s team continues to engage delegates directly, emphasizing unity, capacity building, and proactive organization as the foundation for regional political strength.
