As the National Democratic Congress (NDC) prepares for its crucial internal elections, grassroots activist Hamza Alhassan has officially declared his candidacy for the Central Region Zongo Caucus Coordinator position.

Running under the banner #TheVoiceOfZongo, Alhassan’s campaign launch has sent waves of enthusiasm through the region’s Zongo communities, promising a new era of robust mobilization, inclusivity, and political empowerment.

In a social media post to declare his intention of contest, Alhassan emphasized that his bid is driven by a deep-seated commitment to elevate the voices of marginalized communities and secure a decisive victory for the NDC.

”The heartbeat of our Zongo communities is unity, progress, and empowerment,” Alhassan told the cheering crowd. “Today, we have the opportunity to entrust that vision to leadership that embodies true dedication and service. My commitment to strengthening the Zongo Caucus is rooted in ensuring that every single community member feels represented, valued, and empowered.”

    A Proven Bridge-Builder

Alhassan’s track record in grassroots mobilization and community advocacy has already earned him significant endorsements across the region. Supporters describe him as a strategic unifier capable of bridging gaps between diverse demographics within the Zongos.

Alhassan outlined the core pillars of his vision, promising to transform the caucus into a powerhouse for the party’s regional agenda.

”By voting for me, you are choosing a coordinator who will unite our communities through continuous dialogue and collaboration,” Alhassan stated. “We will strengthen the NDC by making the Zongo Caucus a vibrant force for victory. We cannot afford complacency; we need structures that work day and night.”

    Delegates React with Enthusiasm

The declaration has been met with widespread optimism from local delegates, who view Alhassan as the fresh energy needed to revitalize the caucus.

”Hamza has consistently shown that he is a bridge-builder, a voice for the marginalized, and a champion of inclusivity,” said a prominent youth delegate from Cape Coast after the declaration. “From grassroots mobilization to community advocacy, he has been with us on the ground. He is the right man for the job.”

Another constituency executive added, “The Central Region Zongos need a coordinator who understands our unique challenges and can translate that into political strength for the NDC. Hamza’s message of unity is exactly what we need right now.”

As the campaign intensifies, political analysts predict that the race for the Central Region Zongo Caucus leadership will be highly competitive, with Alhassan’s message of inclusivity and structured mobilization positioning him as a formidable frontrunner.
