The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has announced the full restoration of its vehicle registration platform following a technical disruption that temporarily halted operations across its offices.

In an official public notice update issued today, September 1, 2026, the management of the DVLA confirmed that technical teams successfully resolved the system glitch, allowing vehicle registration services to resume smoothly across all operational centers nationwide.

“The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) wishes to inform the public that its vehicle registration platform, which experienced a glitch, has been restored,” the Authority stated in the public update.

The brief outage had impacted motorists and vehicle owners seeking registration services during the affected hours. Addressing the temporary disruption, the Authority assured clients that operations have returned to standard service capacity.

“Vehicle registration processes have now been restored to provide service to our clients across our operational offices,” the statement continued. “The Authority appreciates your patience during the affected hours.”
