Highlighting the state’s reverence for faith-based leadership and moral governance, Chief of Staff Hon. Dr. Julius Debrah joined First Lady Mrs. Lordina Dramani Mahama to lead a senior government delegation at the 40th marriage anniversary of Apostle General Sam Korankye Ankrah and his wife, Rev. Mrs. Rita Korankye Ankrah.
The colourful thanksgiving service, held at the Ahenfie auditorium of the Royalhouse Chapel International, brought together senior political leaders, clergy, and dignitaries to celebrate four decades of ministerial impact and exemplary family life.
Delivering the executive address on behalf of the administration, Dr. Julius Debrah commended the couple for establishing a domestic and spiritual benchmark that continues to influence national character.
“Reaching 40 years of marriage is a profound statement of covenant, patience, and divine purpose,” Dr. Debrah noted. “Apostle General Sam Korankye Ankrah and Rev. Mrs. Rita Korankye Ankrah have provided a living template of what principled leadership looks like from the home to the altar.”
Dr. Debrah highlighted the strategic partnership between the state and religious institutions, emphasizing that national stability relies heavily on the moral foundation nurtured by the church.
“The Presidency’s presence here is a deliberate recognition of the church as an indispensable pillar of social cohesion and public ethics,” Dr. Debrah emphasized. “When our moral leaders cultivate stable, exemplary homes, it reinforces the ethical fabric of the broader society. We stand with you today in gratitude for your four decades of service to God and humanity.”
In response, Apostle General Sam Korankye Ankrah expressed deep appreciation to Dr. Debrah and the presidential delegation, offering dedicated prayers for national governance.
“We are honored by the presence of Her Excellency the First Lady, Dr. Julius Debrah, and the distinguished delegation,” Apostle General Korankye Ankrah remarked. “Forty years of union is entirely a story of God’s unmerited favor. Our prayer is that this same divine wisdom and grace will guide our national leadership as they serve the people of Ghana.”
The high-powered delegation included Deputy Chief of Staff Hon. Nana Oye Bampoe Addo, Minister for Defence Hon. Kenneth Gilbert Adjei, alongside prominent government officials and representatives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The thanksgiving service concluded with intercessory prayers for the nation, national security, and the ongoing growth of the religious community across Ghana.
