In a vibrant display of traditional pageantry, chieftaincy heritage, and statecraft, Chief of Staff Hon. Dr. Julius Debrah spearheaded a high-profile government delegation to the 2026 Asogli Yam Festival grand durbar in Ho, delivering a strong charge for deepened collaboration between traditional authorities and the state.
Attending as the Special Guest of Honour on behalf of His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, Dr. Debrah joined the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV, along with paramount chiefs, diplomats, and thousands of celebrants gathered at the jubilee grounds.
The high-powered government presence included key political figures, notably Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, Hon. Mahama Ayariga, and Member of Parliament for Ketu South, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, reinforcing the administration’s focus on regional engagement and cultural diplomacy.
Strengthening the Chieftaincy-State Alliance
Addressing the gathered assembly, Dr. Debrah highlighted the indispensability of the chieftaincy institution in driving national stability, rural development, and social cohesion.
