    There are a lot of things in the Bible that inspire people and it may not be salvation. A lot of people have been swindled in the name of God, and someone wants to swindle you in the name of love for the word of God. Let’s see some crimes that can inspire the wicked.

    *TAKING A PERSON’S WIFE AND TAKING HIS LIFE*

    David was nearly killed in battle and the army generals made a resolution never to allow David to go to war. They provided him with all the luxury he needed in his house. But idleness and  not being interested in waging war against poverty, unemployment etc, made him buy a drone to be flying on the roof of his house. This drone landed him in Uriah’s bathroom, when he was at the war front defending the nation of Israel and the wife was having her bath.

    The story didn’t end there, because the bathing in the air had brought shame to king David, he had to recall his general Uriah, from Canada to cover up his shame, but when he refused, he paid dearly on the Ada road.

    *NEPOTISM* 

    Nepotism is accepted in the bible, because they ruled as Chiefs and Kings. Members of the family and friends became advisers, ministers, negotiators, judges etc. Some persons, inspired by this, have extended it to our democracy. They will choose their EC chairpersons, their auditor general, their supreme court judges etc. They forget to appreciate that, this same nepotism, destroyed the house of David.

    *RULING WITH IRON FISTS*

    A foolish descendant of David, Jeroboam who didn’t learn anything about governance because ones his father has been a king before, it is bound to happen.

    He had no plans, just a sense of entitlement, he felt it is his turn!!! He found it absurd when his citizens complained of fuel price hikes, increase in the price of tomatoes and garlic, taxes like the sanitation tax, covid tax, E-levy etc, he boldly looked into their eyes and said “My father laid on you a heavy yoke; I will make it even heavier. My father scourged you with whips; I will scourge you with scorpions”. It’s sad, the things that inspire people in the bible.

    *KEEPING A GARDEN IN FRONT OF YOUR HOUSE*

    Naboth’s family lived in peace until president Ahab became king. He asked Naboth for his vineyard to plant flowers and herbs because it was close to his house. When he refused, his wife arranged for Naboth to be stoned to death and they took the land. They beautified it with metal fabrications, herbs and trees. He even imported special lights from Syria, Palestine and the Hittites. The bible can inspire you to acquire people’s land and hotels compulsorily just because its close to your house.

    Today *CSIR* are fighting for lands earmarked for their research works. The government is plotting those land for family and friends. Ministers and metropolitan chief executives have all turned a blind eye on their calls for intervention because it serves their interests.

    Don’t get me wrong, I believe in the word of God, but I fear people who can even scam God. Faith based slogans like; the battle is the lord’s, Insha Allah and many others are their guiding quotes.

    No one can see the construction of a man’s mind in his face. The bible has also admonished us not to judge. I can only advise for us to be wise as a serpent, as we pray for Better days ahead.

    JM Supports the Aged/Needy in Awutu Senya East

    The National Zango Caucus on Wednesday, 27th April, 2022 continued H. E. John Dramani Mahama’s Ramadan tour of the zangos.

    In a short ceremony attended by mostly the aged and physically challenged at the constituency party office, the National Executives of the Zongo Caucus namely, Alhaji Mohammed Cole Younger, Alhaji Mustapha Abubakar and Alhaji Mohammed Naziru, presented some items to the participants on behalf of H. E John Dramani Mahama, to enable them finish the Ramadan with ease.

    The beneficiaries of JDM’s kind gesture at ASEC are, a popular visually impaired NDC communicator by name Sulley ‘nokware asa’ and Madam Zainab among other aged men and women in the said constituency.

    The Constituency Executives for ASEC led by the vice chairman (Hajia Zainab), the Constituency Zongo Caucus Coordinator and the  youth wing were all present at the brief ceremony.

    Alhaji Cole Younger who spoke at the ceremony entreated the beneficiaries to countinue to pray for mother Ghana, the NDC and H.E John Dramani Mahama.

    In her vote of thanks, the vice chairman for the Awutu Senya East Constituency Hajia Zainab thanked H.E John Dramani Mahama for remembering their orphan constituency in this difficult time and promised to keep the former President and the NDC in their prayers.

    Today is May Day, a day celebrated the world over in solidarity with all workers.

    Workers are the engine of societies, for it is their toil and sweat that provide all the necessities of life. In the labour of workers lies the fate of every community everywhere in the world.

    We in the National Democratic Congress take this opportunity to salute all workers for their tireless and continuous efforts that contribute to the building of our beloved country Ghana. We are especially proud of the special relationship that we have cultivated with workers over the years.

    In this vein, we call on the Akufo-Addo government to address the numerous challenges being faced by the workers of Ghana, and, in particular, to ensure that the hardships imposed on all by the incompetence of the government, are ameliorated by prudent measures designed to lessen the cost of living.

    We consider it particularly cruel and an affront to the sensitivities of all Ghanaians, that the Akufo-Addo government chose to impose the unpopular e-levy tax on Ghanaians on May Day. We know, from all the surveys conducted on this issue, that about 85%of all Ghanaians are opposed to this obnoxious tax. We now have a

    government that has not only lost its way, but is insensitive to the suffering of the people of Ghana.

    As we join all workers to mark this auspicious day, we want to assure them that upon the accession to power by

    the NDC in January, 2025, the pains and sorrow of the workers of Ghana will receive our utmost focus and attention.

    We know that when workers are happy and satisfied at their workplace and at the end of the month, this country’s level of productivity will increase by leaps and bounds, and all our citizens will be the beneficiaries.

    As we celebrate our workers for their commitment and dedication to duty, we also hail them for their unflinching

    love for Ghana.

    JM delegation grace tafsir of Ahlu Sunna, Shia leaders

    The former deputy CEO of MASLOC Alhaji Mustapha Abubakar and the National Zango Caucus Communication Officer Alhaji Naziru Mohammed today represented H.E JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA and the Party at the final Tasfir (Taashei) of the Ahle Sunnah Leader Sheikh Ummar Ibrahim at Abeka (Abubakar Sadiq Masjid).

    Among other key points, Alhaji Mustapha Abubakar used the opportunity to sensitize and spurred on Zango and Muslims youth to focus on education and entrepreneurship for better future. He pledged the NDC will support and contribute their widows mite towards the New Building proposal of the Masjid. 

    Sheikh Ummar Ibrahim on behalf of the Imam’s prayed for H.E John Dramani Mahama and the NDC in general.

    John Mahama fetes orphans and needy in Zongos

    On Friday, 21st April, 2022, the Ramadan Iftar (breaking of fast) tour of H. E John Dramani Mahama took a little different turn to do community engagement with the aim of putting smiles on the face of the aged and and physically challenged persons within some major Zongo communities in Accra.

    Starting from Mamobi (also known as Alhamdu), the iftar caravan made a whistle stop over at the Ancient Kador Mosque and the Ayawasu East Constituency Office of the NDC, both in Nima, H. E John Dramani Mahama then proceeded to Sabon Zongo in the Ablekuma Central Constituency of the Greater Accra Region where he ended for the day.

    It was all joy when H.E JDM arrived at the fully packed Hamburg Mosque in Mamobi where the Imam (Alhaji Hussein) ask for Allah’s protection and guidance on John Dramani Mahama, in return. The Former President handed over some packages to the Senior Citizens of the Mamobi community gathered at the mosque, prominent among the recipients of the Former President’s package is an NDC stalwart and a long serving party faithful popularly known as Commander.

    At Nima, the Former President, made a brief stop over at the Kardor Mosque and then to the Ayawaso East Constituency Offfice of the NDC where he replicated the same gestures by putting smiles on the faces of the aged and ulama (clerics) with his rich packages to enable them breake the fast.

    The atmosphere was lit when H.E John Dramani Mahama arrived at a suburb of Sabon Zongo, known as Unguwan Makafai (the physically challenged neighborhood). Here, H.E John Dramani Mahama was met with a rousing welcome before his interaction with the Association of Muslim physically challenged persons, where he also replicated his kind gesture and personally handed over packages to the physically challenged persons.

    In a short speach, H.E John Dramani Mahama reiterated that, the harsh economic conditions in the country today has made it neccessary for the haves to support the have nots in other to promote the spirit of unity and National cohesion and assured the teaming crowd of the NDC’s commitment, never to turn their backs on the poor and downtrodden in the society. The former president also reminded the people to remember Ghana in their prayers as we approach the last ten days of the Holy month of Ramadan where muslims expect to encounter the powerful Night of forgiveness and blessings known as lailatu-kadir.

    The leader and chief of the physically challenged persons prayed to Allah to grant the wishes of H.E John Dramani Mahama and thanked him for remembering them in what they termed the most difficult fasting since the 1983 Famine in Ghana.

    Prominent among the former president entourage are Alhaji Muniru Limuna, Alhaji Nasir Shariff (National Executive Committee Member of the NDC) Hon. Yusif Jaja, Hon, Naza Toure and Hon. Dan Lateef.
    Executives of National Zongo Caucus of the NDC like Alhaji Cole Younger (the National Coordinator) Alhaji Yahya Kondow, Alhaji Ashkar, Alhaji Mustapha Ibrahim, Alhaji Mohammed Naziru and the Greater Accra Regional Coordinator of the NDC Zongo Caucus, Ismail Horoya were all present to make the tour a successful one.

    The Okaikoi Central Constituency Executive Committee today joined the National Zango Caucus Team under the leadership of the Coordinator Alhaji Mohammed Cole Younger, on behalf of H.E. John Dramani Mahama to present provisions in support of Muslim Communities during this Holy Month of RAMADAN.

    The donation was presented through the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu and the National Ahlu Sunna Leader, Sheikh Ummar Ibrahim.

    The presentation was done separately to the sheikh’s at their residence (New Fadama & Abeka) respectively.

    The delegation includes; Alhaji Yahya Kundow, Alhaji Naziru Mohammed, Alhaji Mohammed Ashka, Chairman Ibrahim Musah etc.

    Muslims suffering in Ramadan under Bawumia’s economic hardship – Alhaji Naziru

    The National Zango Caucus of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has blamed the financial hardship resulting in the inability of some Muslims to observe the holy Ramadan month on Vice president Dr Mahamadu Bawumia.

    The caucus said it is disappointed in Bawumia– a practicing Muslim and the head of the country’s economic management team– has mismanaged the economy thereby imposing hardship on the average Muslim.

    Alhaji Mohammed Naziru, the National Communications Officer NDC Zango Caucus blamed the high inflation and rise in commodity prices on the free fall of the cedi which ought to have been managed well by Bawumia.

    “Much as they may be external causes to Ghana’s economic crisis, one can not runaway from the profligate and ostentatious lifestyle of the President and his appointees supervised by the first Muslim head of Ghana’s economic management team,” Naziru noted in a statement in which he chronicled the woes of the Muslim during Ramadan.

    “Interestingly, the prices of Oil, Sugar and Rice, (a basic necessity to feed the nation) has so much skyrocketed that an average Muslim dare not attempt to buy,” he added.

    This development, he stated, “is largly due to the weakness of the Ghana cedis against the major international trading currency(USD) under the watch of a Muslim head of economic management team.”

    The Woes of a Practicing Muslim under a Muslim Vice President- 2022 Ramadan.

    All too soon, the 2022 Ramadan season is hear with us and every Muslim practicing or not, knows the financial requirements to making a fasting sustainable.

    One of the major campaign messages of the NPP in the zangos has remained the fact that the NPP are the only political party to have a Muslim brother as a sitting vice President and automatic head of the economic management team, this campaign message was executed in Gurg style to let it stuck in the minds of our Zango people.

    The fact that Ghana’s economy is in tatters today is not a classified information since the Government itself has admitted the economy of Ghana is on life support.

    Much as they may be external causes to Ghana’s economic crisis, one can not runaway from the profligate and ostentatious lifestyle of the President and his appointees supervised by the first Muslim head of Ghana’s economic management team.

    This write up seeks only to elucidate the woes of a practicing Muslim under a Muslim head of economic management team and let the cheers fall where they may.

    First of all, the practicing Muslim in Ghana will for the first time since 1992 start the Ramadan fast with a delayed salary, courtesy the negligence of the economic managers making his/her home dry, thus, taking away the euphoria that greets the month of Ramadan and the excitement it brings.

    Under a Muslim head of economic management team, Muslims in Ghana are experiencing a cheater speed inflation to the extent that they have to pay more than 100% more for the same commodities they bought in 2016.

    Interestingly, the prices of Oil, Sugar and Rice, (a basic necessity to feed the nation) has so much skyrocketed that an average Muslim dare not attempt to buy. This is largly due to the weakness of the Ghana cedis against the major international trading currency(USD) under the watch of a Muslim head of economic management team, living the mostly poor Muslims vulnerable.

    Interestingly, Bawumia who is the head of economic management team is known for sharing tons of goodies to secure his bid to lead the NPP. Once again he will move into the Muslim communities with rice and other goodies without ignominy albeit in the form of support to our Muslim folks. But the question is, can the cedi be strong against the dollar if he continues to buy foreign rice? A question to the Muslim Vice President.

    We all witness the cries of our local rice farmers for lack of ready market for their harvest leading to post harvest loses and low returns on investments thus forcing the poor rice farmer out of business.

    In the face of all these glaring danger and in compliance with NPP’s own promise to boost local production, I challenge the vice president of the Republic of Ghana and the head of economic management team to ensure that all the goodies he intends to share as usual in the Muslim community should be “Made in Ghana”, so as to protect our local industry.

    Again, in a rather astonishing circumstances, the Muslim head of economic management team has decided in what can best be described as “target hitting” to introduce the killer E-levy at a time when the entire Muslim community- who’s economic activities are fueled largely with remittances from families abroad- and are looking forward to more remittances to undergo the Ramadan fast, celebrate Eid- fitr and probably pay for Hajj.

    In conclusion, it will certainly not be far fetched to say Muslims in Ghana may suffer more under the prevailing economic circumstances with a Muslim vice President and head of economic management team than they have suffered under a non Muslim head of the country’s economic management.

    I sympathise with all our Muslim brethren who are finding it difficult to fast as a result of no food and to others the high cost of commodities which has been bestowed on us by the Bawumia/Nana Addo Govt.

    We must therefore use this period of Ramadan to pray for Allah’s intervention in the affairs of Ghana.

    I wish all our Muslim brethren a happy Ramadan and I implore all those who have some extra food items to share with the poor.

    May Allah help us to overcome these hardships.

    Ibrahim Awal celebrated his 35th birthday to give thanks to almighty Allah for given him another  unpaid for 12 months in his life.

    Strong man, as he is known better behind his console, took his celebration to his home region Oti to visit some comrades who have taken ill for some time now there by making them inactive for their normal party works.

    Ibrahim Awal who sees leadership as a source of compassion and love for one another and more importantly to the needy, donated cash and bags of rices and bottles of water and other assorted materials to them and prayed for their early recovery from their ill-health

    On behalf of the families of the  sick comrades

    They were full of praises for Ibrahim Awal for setting the pace and urged others to emulate his kind gesture they saw his action as a medium that has the tendency of bringing and re-energizing the base for part unity

    He also gave thanks to some of the big man who supported his vision and they are: the Bissa Chief of Bortianor, His Royal Highness Suallah Saeed Sare; Hon Alhaji Habibu Dramani; Hon Nii Armah Ashitey; Hon John OK Bless; Hon Alhaji Osuman; Hon Naa koryoo; Hon Stephen Ofosu Agyare; and NDC Serial Callers and Texters Associatoin Executives.

    Suppression of Opposition Voices: NDC petitions Commonwealth Secretariat

    The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has petitioned the Commonwealth Secretariat to investigate and subsequently sanction the current administration over what the party calls bad governance and abuse of human rights.

    At a press briefing in Accra today, Monday, the General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, said the petition is to draw the attention of the international body to instances of abuse of the judiciary, political persecutions, and abuse of human rights.

    Mr Nketia noted these acts are against the norms and practices of members of the Commonwealth of Nations.

    “Since assuming power in 2016 the message of physical violence against political opponents that President Nana Addo Dankwa preached and championed before 2016 General Election has turned into structural institutional and systematic forms of violence in the form of human rights violations, harassment and political persecution against members and supporters the National Democratic Congress,” the NDC General Secretary, told the media in a press conference.

    He continued: “Significantly, buffer institutions such as the judiciary whose core mandate is to mediate between the interest of opposing parties, and ensure the promotion of the rule of law and the promotion of individual liberties have become systematic enfeeble with the attendance of loss of public confidence in these institutions,”

    Apart from political opponents, several journalists have been arrested and detained under the governing New Patriotic Party.

    Recently, Accra FM’s presenter, Kwabena Bobbie Ansah was arrested for the publication of false news and offensive conduct, while Power FM’s Oheneba Boamah Bennie was jailed for two weeks and fined GH¢3,000 for contempt of court.

    There have been countless calls on President Akufo-Addo to let his actions reflect his support for the promotion of human rights.

    The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. A. S.K Bagbin, has said that as Leader of the House, he can only be impartial but he cannot be neutral. Speaking in reference to current issues before Parliament concerning the 2022 Budget and Financial Statement, the Speaker said “the concept of majority rule should give way to participatory inclusiveness.

    Given the current changes, Parliament cannot continue to apply the old rules, procedures, culture and conduct whilst going through the transitional period, else the march towards democracy will be halted”.


    He was speaking to the British High Commissioner in Accra, H.E. Harriet Thompson, who paid a courtesy call on him at Parliament with a delegation to understand the times in which Parliament finds itself, the need for a bi-partisan approach, and the experiences worth sharing. She also wanted to understand Parliament’s perception of the various engagement with, and support for the institution.


    The Speaker underlined the need for continuous support for Ghana’s Parliament in order to strengthen the institution in its work, and said democracy will thrive in the West African sub-region only if Ghana’s democracy succeeds. “If Ghana fails, others would fail as well”, he said.

    Rt. Hon. Bagbin called for a mutually beneficial relationship between Ghana and the United Kingdom to ensure that the two countries support one another in their national agenda.


    He said Ghana’s Parliament remains committed to strengthening ties with the United Kingdom, which had existed since Independence. That commitment, he said, transcends to the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA), whose mandate, Rt. Hon Bagbin believes must be reviewed.
    The CPA, he explained, must cease to exist as a charity organization and transition into an international diplomatic organization, facilitates economic diplomacy, strengthening of democracy and the promotion of fundamental human rights among member associations. Ultimately, he said, the CPA should create progressive links between member countries and the United Nations.
    Speaking on the nature of Ghana’s hung parliament, the Minority Leader, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, saw the current composition of the House as a unique opportunity for Ghana’s legislature to become more assertive and enhance the concept of checks and balances in the governance process.
    He stressed on the need for more dialogue and consensus building between the two sides of the House in democracy in Ghana is to be sustained and the interest of the citizens served. He expressed disquiet about the constant negative attacks by the majority group targeted at the person of the Speaker and said, that will not only traduce the Speaker’s character, image and reputation, but will only make consensus building difficult to attain and impact negatively on the ethos and integrity of the House.
    Hon. Ablakwa, was of the view that the interest demonstrated by Ghanaians in the work of Parliament will lead to gradual shift of public perception from the believe that Ghana’s legislature is a lame duck, weak institution and a rubber stamp for Government’s policies.
