The Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Nana Dr. Richard Kofi Asiedu, has issued a passionate plea to party members and aspirants across the region to ensure a peaceful, decorous, and united internal campaign as constituency-level elections approach.

Addressing party executives, grassroots organizers, and aspirants across the region, Dr. Asiedu stressed that internal elections should serve as a mechanism to strengthen the party rather than create division. He urged all candidates and their supporters to avoid personal attacks, divisive rhetoric, and acrimony, reminding them that the primary objective remains the collective victory of the NDC.

”Internal contests are family affairs, not battles between enemies,” Dr. Asiedu stated his message . “A good chairman is one who understands his people, mobilizes them, and leads them in harmony. We must protect our unity at all costs because our strength lies in our collective resolve. I call on all aspirants to run clean, civil campaigns that build trust and preserve the integrity of our party.”

The Chairman’s call for peace comes amid widespread commendation from regional executives and grassroots organizers who continue to celebrate his track record since taking office. Under his leadership, the NDC achieved a historic turnaround in the Central Region, sweeping 18 out of the 23 parliamentary seats and securing a massive 65 percent of the presidential vote for His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.

Party insiders attribute the success to Dr. Asiedu’s hands-on organization, inclusive leadership style, and direct financial support to campaign structures, including his personal donation of seven pickup vehicles to aid mobility during national and regional campaign operations.

”Nana Dr. Richard Kofi Asiedu has proven to be a leader for the people,” said Kwame Mensah, a constituency organizer. “He listens, unites factions, respects elders, and inspires the youth. He did not just sit in an office; he mobilized every corner of the region and invested his own resources to ensure victory.”

Echoing similar sentiments, veteran executive praised his commitment to grassroots welfare and strategic planning. “His selfless contributions and selfless leadership changed our fortunes in the region. By calling for a civil and unified internal contest, he is once again showing the vision required to keep our momentum going.”

Dr. Asiedu reaffirmed his dedication to consolidating the NDC’s political strength in the region, expressing confidence that a united party can secure all 23 parliamentary seats in upcoming election cycles if members remain focused on shared goals.
