On the occasion of International Women’s Day (IWD), the Managing Director of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), Dr. Ato Sarpong, has issued a stirring tribute to women, highlighting their indispensable role in fostering global stability and corporate excellence.
In a statement released to commemorate the day, Dr. Sarpong lauded the unique contributions of women across all sectors of life, emphasizing that their influence extends far beyond professional metrics into the very fabric of human existence.
The Pillars of Stability and Growth
Dr. Sarpong underscored the profound impact women have on the social and economic landscape, noting that their inherent qualities provide a necessary equilibrium to the world.
”Women are the conscience and soul of society,” Dr. Sarpong stated. “Their presence manifest stability, abundance, growth, compassion, peace and balance to the world.”
The ADB boss further noted that when women are empowered with the right tools and environment, the ripple effects are felt throughout the entire economy. He argued that the “nurturing” nature of women is a key driver for long-term sustainability.
Driving Performance and Completeness
The Managing Director also touched upon the tangible benefits of gender diversity within the corporate world and leadership. He maintained that providing equal opportunities for women is not just a matter of equity, but a strategic imperative for high-performing organizations.
”Given the opportunity, women nurture dreams, bring completeness, and drive performance in immeasurable ways,” he added, reinforcing ADB’s commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace where women can thrive.
A Call to Action
Under the global theme of IWD 2026, Dr. Sarpong’s message serves as a reminder for institutions to move beyond rhetoric and implement policies that actively support female advancement. He concluded his address with a simple, heartfelt salute to women everywhere:
”Happy International Women’s Day.”
The Agricultural Development Bank has long been a proponent of supporting women in agribusiness and entrepreneurship, and this latest tribute reaffirms the bank’s dedication to its female staff, clients, and partners across the country.
