The Elections Committee of the Private Newspapers and Online Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) has officially published the Voters’ Register for its upcoming 2025 National Executive Elections, marking a significant step in the Association’s electoral process.

According to the Committee, the register contains the names of all eligible voters who have met the criteria outlined in the Association’s constitution and electoral guidelines.

Members are urged to verify their details and report any discrepancies or omissions between August 4 and August 12, 2025, using the designated communication channels.

Only members in good standing as of July 31, 2025, and registered with PRINPAG by July 7, 2025—the date the official election guidelines were published—are eligible to vote.

The Elections Committee emphasised its commitment to ensuring a free, fair, and transparent process, encouraging members to familiarise themselves with the electoral calendar and guidelines ahead of voting day.

In a related development, the Committee has also announced that proxy voting will be permitted in this year’s elections.

    Under the guidelines:

Both the proxy (donor) and the appointed voter (donee) must appear on the official voters’ register.

A formal proxy authorisation letter, signed by both parties, must be submitted.

The authorisation must be filed between August 4 and August 12, 2025, using only the official proxy form provided by the Elections Committee.

The Committee stressed that any proxy voting arrangement outside these rules will be declared null and void.

Members seeking more information or needing assistance are advised to contact the Elections Committee via 0244206890.

The Elections Committee concluded by urging members to participate actively and responsibly in the electoral process to help strengthen PRINPAG’s democratic values and institutional growth.
