In what can only be described as a catastrophic blow to political opportunism, the toxic, manipulative bid by Lawyer Obeng Inkoom to seize control of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Central Regional Chairmanship has crumbled into absolute ignominy.

Driven by an insatiable thirst for power and a utter disregard for party integrity, Inkoom’s entire campaign has been exposed as a hollow campaign of smoke, mirrors, and brazen deception.

For months, Inkoom orchestrated a predatory campaign across the region, fraudulently hijacking the prestigious name of the Minister for Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson. Pretending to be the chosen favorite of party heavyweights, Inkoom callously weaponized false endorsements to manipulate hardworking, loyal delegates. But the truth inevitably catches up with the dishonest.

During Friday’s tense vetting session, incumbent Central Regional Chairman, Dr. Richard Kofi Asiedu, shattered Inkoom’s elaborate web of lies. Cornered by the vetting committee led by Kobby Barlon, the self-proclaimed strongman wilted under scrutiny, forced into a humiliating, public confession that Dr. Ato Forson had never supported his corrupt bid.

”Obeng Inkoom walked into that room boasting and left with his head bowed in disgrace,” revealed an authoritative source close to the vetting proceedings. “When pressed by Chairman Kobby Barlon, Inkoom folded instantly and admitted under oath that he had lied about Dr. Ato Forson’s endorsement. He was sternly cautioned that one more fraudulent claim would see him thrown out of the race entirely. It was an embarrassment to watch a lawyer resort to such shameless deceit.”

A Desperate Chameleon: The “Accra Caucus” Fabrication

Faced with public humiliation and the total destruction of his original narrative, Inkoom’s campaign immediately morphed into a fresh saga of desperation. At a clandestine gathering in Winneba involving MMDCEs and former appointees, a panicked Inkoom frantically fabricated a new tale, claiming that an elusive “Accra caucus” was now funding and driving his agenda.

Party faithful who witnessed the shameless pivot were quick to condemn the aspirant’s sociopathic political shifting.

”Obeng Inkoom is a political chameleon who will say literally anything to steal power,” declared a veteran NDC regional executive present at Winneba. “First, he weaponizes Dr. Ato Forson’s name without permission. The second he gets caught red-handed by the vetting committee, he invents a ghost ‘Accra caucus’ out of thin air! The delegates of the Central Region will not sell their souls to an opportunistic fraudster whose entire platform is built on stolen authority and changing lies.”

Treasonous Sabotage: Slandering National Leadership

Inkoom’s ruthless campaign reached a dangerous new low when he and his chief political henchman, Eric Esuah, launched a calculated smear campaign aimed at sabotaging party unity. In a reckless attempt to poison the minds of delegates, Inkoom maliciously spread fake rumors claiming that Dr. Richard Kofi Asiedu was at war with Vice-President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang and Dr. Ato Forson.

This treacherous effort to ignite factional warfare and destroy internal cohesion for personal political gain has sent shockwaves of outrage through the party’s grassroots.

”What Lawyer Inkoom and Eric Esuah are doing is nothing short of political high treason against the NDC,” stated an enraged constituency chairman from Cape Coast. “To manufacture fake animosity involving our beloved Vice-President and senior ministers just to rescue a failing campaign shows that Inkoom cares nothing for the NDC—he only cares about himself. Eric Esuah and his master must be dragged before the disciplinary committee immediately for spreading toxic fabrications.”

The Final Verdict: Rejecting the Snake in the Grass

As the dust settles, the choice before the Central Region NDC has never been clearer. On one side stands proven leadership and unwavering loyalty; on the other lies the toxic, calculating ambition of a man who views party delegates as mere pawns in his game of fraud.

”The NDC in the Central Region belongs to honest, hardworking comrades, not dishonest politicians who rely on stolen names and venomous lies,” declared a prominent women’s organizer. “Obeng Inkoom has been exposed as a political impostor. His campaign is in total ruin, and our delegates will bury his poisonous ambition at the polls.”

With his deceit laid bare, his credibility shattered beyond repair, and his motives fully unmasked, Obeng Inkoom’s desperate grab for power stands as a warning to all political impostors: no amount of arrogance or calculated deception can survive the crushing power of the truth.
