As the National Democratic Congress (NDC) begins laying the groundwork for the upcoming presidential primaries ahead of the 2028 general elections, a powerful consensus is building around Dr. Julius Debrah.
Widely regarded as a strategic mastermind and a unifying figure, the Chief of Staff is increasingly seen by party faithful as the definitive answer to securing executive power and permanently retiring the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Under the banner of #TeamJD, a formidable movement has emerged, framing Dr Debrah not just as a contender, but as the “market-ready” and battle-tested leader Ghana needs to navigate its current economic and social challenges.
”Hon. Julius Debrah is market-ready and primed for 2028,” a senior campaign strategist stated during a recent strategy briefing. “His visionary leadership, strategic planning, and collaborative approach have already delivered real results across this country — transforming lives and building sustainable growth for Ghana. He is the smooth operator who gets things done without the noise.”
As delegates across the country begin to weigh their options for the next flagbearership race, the core question driving the conversation is simple: Who can actually win the general election? For an expanding coalition of youth groups, market women, and party stalwarts, that answer points directly to Debrah.
”As the NDC prepares for the next presidential primaries, delegates face one crucial question: Who can win? The answer is clear. Julius Debrah is the winnable candidate to retire NPP’s Dr. Bawumia. He is tested, trusted, and battle-ready,” noted an influential NDC constituency chairman from the Greater Accra Region.
Insiders argue that Ghana’s contemporary political dynamics require a candidate capable of transcending deeply rooted traditional, regional, and religious divides. Debrah’s unique background and inclusive approach have positioned him as a rare bridge-builder in a polarized political landscape.
”Ghana’s political dynamics demand unity across tribe and faith,” a prominent youth organizer remarked. “Julius is the firebrand who bridges both. He is a leader who speaks to every region, every community, and every single Ghanaian, regardless of their background.”
With the campaign gaining momentum online and on the ground under viral tags like #DebrahsDawn and #TheSmoothOperator, the message to the NDC voting bloc has become a direct call to action. Campaign organizers are urging delegates to prioritize experience, competence, and character above all else.
”Delegates, the choice is yours. Choose the candidate who can win. Choose Julius Debrah,” a mobilizer concluded, echoing the campaign’s central rallying cry. “Join #TeamJD. The dawn is here.”
