  • Provisional Results: NDC leading 13 regions with 56.44%

    Provisional Results cited by this news portal shows the NDC’s John Dramani Mahama is leading the presidential race with 56.44 percent so far.

     

    This is out of 37,039 collated out of 40,976 polling stations accounting for 10,577,752 total votes cast.

     

    On regional basis, the NDC is leading in 13 out of 16 regions.

     

    The NPP presidential candidate, Dr Mahmud Bawumia, is getting 41.20% so far.

  • NPP boys arrested for attempting to swap ballot boxes at Sepease

    Some boys of the NPP in Antwima Nwabiagya South constituency attempted to swap the ballot boxes which were being transported to the the constituency collation center have been arrested by the citizens.

     

    They were then handed over to the police.

    The irresponsible NPP boys are currently in police custody with the fake ballot boxes.

     

    The NDC has congratulated the vigilant citizens who are foiling all NPP attempts to rig the elections results.

  • NDC defends call on it members to move to the collation centers

    The National Democratic Congress has responded to the NPP’s disagreement to its earlier call on its members to move to the collation centers.

     

    The NDC, which has already won the elections according to provisional figures, has defended its call as lawful.

     

    “Inviting our members to move to the collation centers and observe the collation process is not illegal”, Sammy Gyemfi, NDC Communication Officer has said at a press conference a while ago.

     

    However, he advised the party members to be law abiding and civil as they observe the process until results declared.

  • Kasoa: Hawa Koomson’s thugs kills two NDC members

    Awutu Senya East MP, Hawa Koomson’s thugs have shot and killed two NDC and critically injured others.

     

    The shooting incident took place at the residence of the Parliamentary Candidate of the NDC, Phyllis Naa Koryor, which killed one person and others injured.

     

    Earlier in the afternoon, one NDC member was shot dead by a known NPP thug in the Constituency.

     

  • Stop jubilating and follow the ballot boxes to constituencies collation centers – NDC

    The NDC has called on all its executives and supporters to stop jubilating and follow the ballot boxes to the collation centers at the various constituencies.

     

    The NDC deems it necessary to help protect the votes cast for John Mahama and the Parliamentary Candidates.

     

    Sammy Gyemfi, the National Communication Officer, who addressed a press conference at about 8:30pm indicated that, the NPP have started implementing their rigging machinations.

    The Electoral Commission has addressed the media on the voting process as counting starts.

    The Commission has been glad and appreciates voters collaboration of Ghanaians and party agents.

    However, the EC was unhappy with some violents incident in some constituencies which has claimed one life already.

     

  • NDC agents told to be vigilant as counting starts

    The Central Regional branch of NDC has cautioned its polling agents to be vigilant and stop any vehicle that approaches the Polling Stations as they uncover plots of the NPP to rig the elections.

    The plot involves exchanging ballot boxes, a move that threatens the integrity of the electoral process.

    “We urge all NDC party members and sympathizers to move to the polling stations immediately to protect the ballot”, Gabriel Nii Kommey Adams, Central Regional Secretary/ Regional Campaign Coordinator(NDC) said in a statement.

    “Party agents are instructed to be extra vigilant and resist any uncommon movements within the polling parameters.

    “No vehicle should be allowed close to the polling station.”

    *NPP PLOT TO CAUSE CONFUSION IN CENTRAL REGION UNCOVERED*

    The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has uncovered a nefarious plot by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to cause confusion in the Central Region during the ongoing voting.

    The plot involves exchanging ballot boxes, a move that threatens the integrity of the electoral process. We urge all NDC party members and sympathizers to move to the polling stations *immediately to protect the ballot*.

    Party agents are instructed to be extra vigilant and resist any uncommon movements within the polling parameters.
    No vehicle should be allowed close to the polling station.

    *We will not stand idly by while the NPP attempts to undermine the democratic process.*

    We strongly warn the NPP to desist from any actions that could compromise the elections.

    The Electoral Commission (EC) must also take immediate action to prevent this plot from unfolding and ensure the integrity of the electoral process.

    The eyes of the nation and the international community are on Ghana, and any attempt to subvert the democratic process will be met with severe consequences.

    We urge all stakeholders to remain vigilant and work together to ensure a free, fair, and peaceful election.

  • NPP fake soldiers shoots and killed innocent citizens at Nyankpala

     

    The MP of Tolon Constituency, Hon Habib Iddrisu, has allegedly instructed some security personnel to shoot at innocent citizens unprovoked leading to a fatality, killing one person.

     

    Others are severely injured whom have been transported to the Tamale Teaching hospital for emergency treatment.

     

    The NDC has vowed to take action against such reckless and heartless attacks on innocent citizens.

  • NDC addresses the media on NPP’s deliberate spread of falsehoods to divert attention

    The NDC Communications Officer, Sammy Gyemfi, has addressed the media on the falsehoods churned by the NPP against some NDC executives as possessing ballots papers.

    Mr Gyemfi explained that, the said constituency executives and party members allegedly accused of being arrested for possessing ballot papers are not true as they were only holding sample notice of poll for voter education purposes.

    The alleged cases as reported at NPP press conference purported to have happened within the Ketu and Kintampo constituencies were not true.
