President John Mahama has announced another reshuffle within his administration, with three government officials reassigned to new roles.
The latest changes affect key positions at the Presidency and the ministries responsible for Defence as well as Labour, Jobs and Employment.
Under the new arrangement, Deputy Defence Minister Ernest Brogya Genfi has been moved from the Ministry of Defence to the Presidency.
He will serve as Adviser on National Resilience and Emergency Preparedness.
Brogya Genfi has served as Deputy Defence Minister since March 2025.
Meanwhile, Minister of State in charge of Special Initiatives, Emmanuel Agyekum, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Labour, Jobs and Employment.
He takes over from Dr Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, who has in turn been moved to the Special Initiatives portfolio as Minister of State.
The changes therefore see both Emmanuel Agyekum and Dr Pelpuo assume new responsibilities within the Mahama administration, while Brogya Genfi takes up a new role at the Presidency.
The latest reshuffle is the second ministerial shake-up announced by President Mahama since the start of his second term.
The first reshuffle of the second term was announced on August 7, 2026.
The latest appointments and reassignments are expected to further realign responsibilities across government as the administration continues with its agenda.
