CAPE COAST — In a gesture steeped in tradition, Agricultural Development Bank PLC (ADB PLC) paid a royal courtesy call on His Royal Majesty Osabarima Kwesi Atta II, Oguaamanhene and President of the Oguaa Traditional Council, to reinforce the bank’s commitment to regional growth, cultural heritage, and local enterprise.
The high-level delegation was led by Mr. Joseph Kweku Biney, Assistant Area Manager for the Central and Western Zone, alongside Mr. Joseph Mensah Abakah, Head of MSME/MMAA, and the Cape Coast Branch Manager, who represented ADB Managing Director Mr. Edward Ato Sarpong.
Addressing the traditional council on behalf of the Managing Director, Mr. Biney highlighted the role of traditional institutions in driving sustainable development across the Central Region.
“We hold profound respect for the Oguaa stool and praise Osabarima Kwesi Atta II’s visionary leadership,” Biney stated. “ADB remains unwavering in its mission to serve as a strategic partner to traditional institutions, SMEs, and local enterprises that constitute the bedrock of our regional economy.”
Echoing these sentiments, Mr. Abakah pointed to the financial institution’s broader strategic trajectory under current leadership.
“Under Mr. Edward Ato Sarpong’s stewardship, ADB has transcended conventional banking to emerge as a formidable catalyst for grassroots prosperity and financial inclusion,” Abakah said, describing the Managing Director’s vision as pioneering and transformational for local businesses.
Welcoming the delegation to his palace, Osabarima Kwesi Atta II expressed appreciation for the bank’s long-standing presence in the area and called for sustained operational focus on local development.
“We appreciate ADB’s enduring support in our region,” the Oguaamanhene noted during the audience. “I encourage even deeper collaboration between the Bank and the Oguaa Traditional Council going forward to advance enterprise growth, youth empowerment, and community development.”
The engagement forms part of ADB PLC’s ongoing outreach initiative aimed at aligning corporate financing strategies with community development goals across Ghana.
